Climate change exposes our community and local economy to more erratic weather and risk for fire, drought, and other potential disasters.  Preparing for a changing climate requires reducing emissions while simultaneously building resilience.

Town of Vail is working to reduce emissions and prepare for a changing climate through:

• The development of clean energy systems for Town operations
• 200KW of installed solar PV capacity
• Supporting the transition to electric vehicles
• Encouraging community energy efficiency through programs and incentives
• Leadership in climate policy, programs and projects
